Oink
Presented at the Berlinale, this animated feature approaches topical subjects with humour and levity. It paints an embittered but comical portrait of the grandfather, often an intractable and invulnerable figure in films, putting paid to convention and making for a hilarious film that’s off the beaten path.
When little Babs’ grandfather presents her with a pig named Oink, she convinces her parents to let her keep him on condition he passes a puppy training programme. But Babs’ parents aren’t the biggest danger for Oink, because at the same time, the city is preparing for the Sausage King competition…
